GOOD SMALL FARMS
VEGETABLES, EGGS
Eric, Stuart, Athene and their team run a 12-acre market garden at Hammonds Farm, Stroud. Hammonds Farm is dedicated to increasing biodiversity and social capital - as well as producing top-quality vegetables, fruit, nuts, eggs and beef. During the growing season, we buy vegetables twice weekly from Good Small Farms. WICK COURT (FARMS FOR CITY CHILDREN)
PORK
Wick Court, near Arlingham, is one of three sites owned by the charity Farms for City Children, which enables children from disadvantaged communities to spend immersive week-long residentials caring for livestock, growing vegetables, and cooking food. If there’s pork on the menu at Brimscombe Mill, whether it’s in our meals or in our coffee bar sausage rolls, it’s pedigree Gloucester Old Spot, hand-raised in Wick Court’s paddocks and 19th century brick pens.

GREAT COTMARSH FARM
HOGGET, BEEF
Katie and James raise British White & English Longhorn cattle and Castlemilk Moorit & Portland sheep on their organic farm near Royal Wootton Basset. They’ve planted 6500 new trees, including a community orchard, and put in new hedgerows. There’s also a dye garden, and a textiles classroom where fashion students can learn about sustainable natural materials. If you’d like to buy their delicious slow-raised beef or hogget, you can order a box via their website.

BEANS, PULSES AND GRAINS
Hodmedod’s is a small UK company supplying beans, grains, pulses, flours and spices grown on British farms. If there’s quinoa or dal on your plate, it’s come no further than from Essex, Suffolk, Sussex, or Hertfordshire. You’ll also find spicy fava bean bar snacks available from our coffee bar.

FARESHARE SOUTH WEST
VEGETABLES, MEAT, DRY GOODS
We receive around 70 kilos a week of food industry surplus that would otherwise go to waste. This surplus is collected, sorted and redistributed by national charity FareShare.

EXTRA VIRGIN RAPESEED OIL
Cotswold Gold is a cold-pressed oil produced on a family farm in the Cotswolds. We use it for everything from roasting and aromatic seed oils to dressings and pesto.

ON-SITE GROWING

When you visit us at the Mill in the summer months you’ll see troughs and drums brimming with flowers and herbs, growing in the compost provided by our Ridan food waste composting system.

Nikki of Homelands Hive Products is a natural beekeeper, using no pesticides in the care of her twenty bee colonies. The honey is raw and unpasteurised, preserving all of its natural nutrients and biome. You can find the full range of products, including honey, soap and candles, here.
