Society is doing food badly, making people fat, ill and lonely - incredibly one third of all food grown and produced is never eaten. The Long Table is setting out to find delicious answers to some of these food issues.

Our plan is to build a modular bakery, kitchen and long table dining space, where everyone is invited to cook, learn and eat. People with barriers to employment can gain meaningful work, learn invaluable skills, a place where surplus food can be celebrated.

Our vision is that the table grows longer and longer as more people join it, where every mouthful is a vote for change. Every meal is a party and you are all invited. We hope that with input and feedback from you, we can create a model that can be recreated in communities around the world. Check out our manifesto, below and subscribe to our newsletter for updates.
